A Dharna by Janapaksham in front of Kerala Secretariat
Janapaksham demands satellite survey to identify land for Vizhinjam project.Janapaksham, an organisation which is spearheading an agitation for Vizhinjam mother port, today conducted a dharna in front of Government secretariate. They demand to freeze the notification issued by the Kerala govt to acquire land for the project. The notification invited wide spread hue and cry from the public fearing an imminent mass eviction. On several occassion Govt was telling that project will be implemented in an area reclaimed in the sea. But recently they announced that around 197 homes will be displaced. Here people were willing to cooperate with the govt. But one fine morning appeared a notification spreading around 6 villages. This invited wrath of the people. Suddenly govt cleared that around 227 homes will be taken over. This all created lot of confusion and chaos among the people. To make matters worse, some political parties also jumped into the fray which led to road block and black days.Janapaksham attributes that it is a well designed plot to kill the project. hence they demand to freeze the land acquisition notice and do a fresh beginning. A satellite survey will give a clear picture about the vaccant land. Govt must pursue in this direction,Few videos published from the dharna in Malayalam on 23rd September 2008

വിഴിഞ്ഞം അന്താരാഷ്ട് തുറമുഖമായി വികസിപ്പിക്കണമെന്നത് കേരളത്തിലുള്ളവരുടെ വളരെ കാലമായുള്ള ആവശ്യമാണ്.സർക്കാർ ഈ പദ്ധതിക്കുള്ള എല്ലാ പ്രശനങ്ങളും പരിഹരിച്ചു എത്രയും പെട്ടെന്നു പൂർത്തിയാക്കാൻ ശ്രമിക്കണം.വിഴിഞ്ഞം തുറമുഖ പദ്ധതി എന്തു കാരണത്തിന്റെ പേരിലായാലും നമ്മുക്ക് നഷ്ടപെടാൻ പാടില്ല. അതിനുവേണ്ടി എല്ലാവരും പരിശ്രമിക്കണം.

തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് എവിടെയും ഒരേക്കര് ഭൂമി ഏറ്റെടുത്താല് പോലും ഒരമ്പത് കുടുമ്പങ്ങളെയെങ്കിലും മാറ്റിപാര്പ്പിക്കേണ്ടി വരുമെന്നത് ഏതൊരു മന്ദബുദ്ധിക്കും അറിയാം. ആ സമയത്താണ് 2500 ഏക്കര് ഭൂമി ഏറ്റെടുക്കുമെന്നും 250 താഴെ കുടുമ്പങ്ങളെ മാത്രമേ കുടിയൊഴിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടി വരികയുള്ളൂ എന്നൊകെ മുഖ്യനും, നിയമമന്ത്രിയും വാതോരാതെ പ്രസംഗിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നത്. തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തുകാരനായ നിയമമന്ത്രിക്ക് ഇത്രയ്ക്ക് വിവരം ഇല്ലാതായിപ്പോയല്ലോ, എഴുതിക്കൊടുത്തത് അതേപടി വായിക്കാന് .

ഈ ജനപക്ഷവും ബി.ജെ.പി.പിളര്ന്നുണ്ടായ ജനപക്ഷവും തമ്മില് റബ്ബര്പാലും പശുവിന്പാലും പോലുള്ള ബന്ധമേയുള്ളോ?!

മുന്പുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഏലിയാസ് ജോണ് പ്രസിഡന്റായുള്ള ജനപക്ഷം (രാമന്പിള്ള അടിച്ച് മാറ്റി പേര് മാത്രം) ആണ് ഞാന് അല്പമെങ്കിലും അനുകൂലിക്കുന്നത്. സ്വന്തം ചാനലില്ലാതിരുന്നിട്ടുപോലും ഞാനുന്നയിച്ച പലകാര്യങ്ങളും അണിയറയിലൂടെ വെളിച്ചം കാണിച്ചത് ഏലിയാസ് ജോണ് മാത്രമാണ്. അതിലെനിക്ക് നന്ദിയുണ്ട്. മാത്രവുമല്ല വര്ഷങ്ങള്ക്ക് മുമ്പ് ജനപക്ഷത്തിന്റെ നെയ്യാറ്റിന് കര ഭാരവാഹിയായിരുന്നു. അതും വിഴിഞ്ഞം തുറമുഖം എന്ന സ്വപ്ന സാക്ഷാത്ക്കാരത്തിനുവേണ്ടി.
ക്ഷമിക്കുക. ഞാന് രാമന്പിള്ളയുടെ ജനപക്ഷത്തിലെ അംഗം അല്ല.
